FIREMAKING GUIDE

Firemaking Guide:

Training Methods

The other way you could train Firemaking is by cutting and burning logs at the same time. If you wish to train like this (although I wouldn't recommend it past level 50), use the following methods.

Levels 1-15

The early beginning levels: You only need to burn three normal logs to advance to level 2.
Free Players: Cut (Picture) and burn normal logs in Draynor Village forest (Picture).
Members: Cut and burn normal logs in Draynor Village forest.
Levels 16-30

Free Players: Cut (Picture) and burn Oak logs in Draynor Village forest (Picture).
Members: Cut and burn Oak logs in Draynor Village forest.

Levels 31-50

Although free players can burn Maple logs, they're probably a bit expensive so don't worry about buying them to burn at level 45 firemaking.
Free Players: Cut (Picture) and burn Willow logs behind the Draynor Village bank (Picture), or south-east of Melzars' Maze near Rimmington.
Members: Cut (Picture) and burn Willow logs behind Seers' Village bank (Picture).
Levels 51-65

Free Players: If you can afford to buy Maple logs, now would be a good time to do so, and in turn switch to the quicker method where you burn many logs in one go. If you're a bit strapped for cash keep on cutting and burning Willow logs. It would be a good idea to save time by stockpiling your Willow logs in the bank then burning them all in one go at one of the locations stated in the Training Locations section.

Members: Cut (Picture) and burn maple logs behind Seers' Village bank (Picture). Another option would to cut (Picture) and burn Teak/Mahogany logs at Tai Bwo Wannai (Picture) (remember you will need 100 trade sticks to enter!).

Levels 66-75

Free Players: Cut (Picture) and burn Willow logs. They are in abundance behind Draynor Village bank (Picture).
Members: Cut (Picture) and burn Maple logs. There are lots behind the Seers' Village bank (Picture).

If you are going to cut your logs, then Willow and Maple are still the fastest, as Yews are very slow to cut. If you are going to buy them at this level, then both free players and members should purchase Yew logs to burn.

Levels 75-99

Free Players: Burning Willow and Yew logs is the fastest way to level in Free to Play. You may want to cut the logs, as you will also gain Woodcutting experience and you don't have to spend any money. An alternative way is to buy Maple logs from Grand Exchange, as Maple logs can be burned in Free to Play.

Members: Ok, your best bet is to buy or cut Maple logs (Picture). Maple logs yield 135 exp per log burned. You will need 87,585 Maple logs to 99 from 75. Alternatively, you could cut/buy and burn Yew or Eucalyptus logs. Yew logs yield 202.5 exp per log burned and Eucalyptus logs provide 193.5 experience. You will need 58,390 Yew logs to 99 from 75, or 61,106 Eucalyptus logs. Aside from the expensive and time consuming magic logs, Yews and Eucalyptuses are the best logs to burn. However, if you do buy them, they can cost quite a bit. There are many locations for cutting Yews, these include: Edgeville, Seers' Village, Tree Gnome Stronghold and many more. Eucalyptus logs can be found to the south of Feldip Hills, between Oo'glog and Mobilising Armies.
